STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford freshman two-meter Ashley Grossman earned her second KAP 7 MPSF Newcomer of the Week honor Monday, the conference announced.
Grossman had previously earned the conference's top weekly honor for newcomers on March 5. It is also the Cardinal's fifth newcomer of the week award this season, as fellow rookie Kiley Neushul has thrice claimed it.
This past week, Grossman posted a pair of hat tricks, scoring eight goals total over No. 2 Stanford's three victories. She scored three times in each of the Cardinal's wins over Brown last Monday and No. 4 Arizona State Saturday. Sunday, she netted a pair of goals as the Cardinal defeated No. 8 San Diego State, 12-4, to improve to 18-1 overall and 4-0 in MPSF play.
The Cardinal continues its homestand this Saturday, April 7, hosting No. 3 USC at 1 p.m.
