A moment in my life I will always remember: Signing my letter of intent to Stanford with my family
My first impression of Coach Rittman was: I was really intimidated, so the first time I met him I just kept telling myself not to say anything stupid
My parents' occupations are: My mom, Lisa, is a nurse in the neurology department and my dad, Mike, is the head softball coach at the University of Oregon
Favorite napping spot: Locker room or my bed. I will settle for just about anywhere though.
The perfect meal includes: Crab legs with butter, Diet Coke, and frozen yogurt
The furthest from home I have ever been is: Cape Town, South Africa
The first sport I ever played was: Softball!
The person I would most like to meet is: Condoleezza Rice
Superstitions/pregame rituals: I always visualize the first inning of the game
Since coming to Stanford, I have learned: that life is the most fun when each day is unpredictable and how to ride a bike one-handed.
My sports hero growing up was: My dad
My earliest sports memory is: Watching my dad play men's fastpitch softball
In my off-time, I'm most likely to be found: Sleeping. I guarantee I will always be sleeping.
Something people would be surprised to know about me: I was named after my grandma from New Zealand, and my name means family in the native Maori language.
The best thing about Stanford is: That you will never meet two people who are the same and getting to meet people who are the best in the world at what they do.

If I had to cook all of my meals, I'd probably survive on: Pancakes with peanut butter

Hidden talent: I can move/wiggle my ears. It's super cool.
My favorite place that I ever visited is: Wellington, New Zealand
My favorite place on the Stanford campus is: My bed or the softball field
My favorite class at Stanford has been: My freshman writing class about gender politics
I'm most thankful for: My family! My parents and my two sisters are amazing and I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
Best book I have ever read: Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe
My parents were right when they told me: That hard work can get me anything I want in life.
The reason I chose Stanford University is: because I never forgot seeing the Stanford softball team on ESPN at the 2001 College World Series when I was nine. I remember telling my mom that I was going to play for Stanford because "they are smart and play softball too." As I grew up it was always my goal to become the best in both school and softball, and when it came time to choose a college, it was a simple decision for me because having the opportunity to get a Stanford education and play softball at the highest level was what I had been working for my entire life.
I would love to trade places for a day with: Brandon Marcello, our sports performance coach because he has a Ph.D.
The talent I'd most like to have is: To be able to dance like Cassandra Rouland. And ride my bike with no hands like her too.
My funniest teammate is: Jenna Becerra
