STANFORD, Calif. - Ninth-ranked Stanford men's rowing travels to Washington and Oregon State for races this weekend, looking to build off of last weekend's strong efforts at the San Diego Crew Classic.

The Cardinal will face off against the second-ranked Huskies Saturday in Seattle. Racing is set to begin at 8:10 a.m. The team will then travel south to Corvallis, Ore. for a race against No. 18 Oregon State Sunday morning.

In Seattle, the Cardinal will visit the Hiram Conibear Shellhouse, and the storied Montlake Cut to race the defending National Champions and Pac-12 rival Washington Huskies. Both universities are dedicated to sustaining their yet to be named `Cup' race, and next year the Huskies will make a return visit to Redwood Shores.

"Racing the defending national champions on the historic Montlake Cut will be a challenge for our men," said Stanford men's rowing head coach Craig Amerkhanian. "This early-season duel will provide us with information and results that will improve us through the IRA Championships."
