STANFORD, Calif.- Stanford's Taube Family Tennis Stadium will play host to NCAA first and second round competition for both Cardinal squads from May 11-13.
All first and second round matches are played at campus sites. The final 16 teams square off at the NCAA Tennis Championships, hosted by the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., beginning Thursday, May 17. The national championship matches are set for Tuesday, May 22, with the women's final at 10 a.m. PT and the men's title match at 2 p.m. PT.
All seats are general admission. Three-day all-session tickets are $18 (adult) and $12 (student/youth/senior). Single-day tickets are $7 (adult) and $5 (student/youth/senior). All-session tickets are available beginning at noon on Thursday, May 3, by calling 1-800-STANFORD or visiting www.gostanford.com. Single-day tickets can be purchased on the day of competition at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

MEN'S TEAM
Stanford (17-8, 5-2 Pac-12) will be making its 34th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance when first round competition gets underway at campus sites this weekend.
Ranked No. 11 in the latest edition of the national ITA rankings, the Cardinal has also been tabbed as the No. 11 overall seed in the postseason draw. As a result, Taube Family Tennis Stadium will serve as one of 16 host sites for first and second round action, scheduled for May 12-13.
Stanford, which placed third in this year's conference race, is coming off a 4-0 loss to No. 1 USC, in its most recent match during the semifinal round of the Pac-12 Championships. The Cardinal's best victory of the year was a 4-1 upset of then-No. 6 Kentucky at the National Team Indoor Championships back on Feb. 19. Stanford and Kentucky would face in a potential round of 16 matchup if the seeding holds true.
Stanford will host Sacramento State in the opening round, with the winner of that match meeting the winner of No. 19 Texas and No. 39 Santa Clara.

Sacramento State (11-12, 7-1 Big Sky) is making its ninth NCAA Tournament appearance after blanking Montana 4-0 to notch its fourth consecutive Big Sky Tournament title. The Hornets have played every match this year with either four or five freshmen in their regular lineup.
Stanford owns a 100-17 record in the postseason since the NCAA Tournament went to its present format in 1977. During that time, Stanford has won 15 NCAA team titles, with the most recent crown coming back in 2000 after defeating VCU 4-0. The Cardinal reached the NCAA quarterfinal round last year for the first time since 2006, nearly upsetting top-seeded Virginia in a 4-3 loss.

WOMEN'S TEAM
Stanford (18-1, 9-1 Pac-12) will be making its 31st consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance when first round competition gets underway at campus sites this weekend.
It's been another dominating season for Stanford, which joins South Carolina State (16-0) as the only teams in the country with one loss or less. Despite being ranked No. 5 in the latest edition of the national ITA rankings, Stanford was awarded the No. 4 overall seed in the postseason draw.
The Cardinal's only loss of the year was a 5-2 setback against No. 1 UCLA on Apr. 14. Stanford blanked Washington State 7-0 in its most recent contest, claiming a share of the Pac-12 regular season championship in the process. Registering its eighth shutout of the year, Stanford joined USC as conference co-champions with the victory. The Cardinal has now won the conference title outright or claimed at least a share of the hardware in every season since 1987, with the exception of 2009.
Stanford will host Stony Brook in the opening round, with the winner of that match meeting the winner of No. 42 Saint Mary's and No. 29 Yale.

Stony Brook (14-7) captured its first America East Tournament title, defeating Maryland-Baltimore County 4-3 over the weekend. The Seawolves, who knocked off 18-time defending champion Boston University along the way in the semifinals, secured the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Stanford owns a 120-15 record in the postseason since the NCAA Tournament went to its present format in 1982. During that time, Stanford has won 16 of 30 possible NCAA team titles, most recently capturing the 2010 crown with a 4-3 victory over Florida in Athens, Ga.
