STANFORD, Calif.- Both Stanford tennis squads were well-represented among this year's All-Pac-12 Team, as announced on Friday evening by the league office.
On the women's side, sophomore Nicole Gibbs was named Pac-12 Player of the Year, becoming the first Cardinal player to earn the conference's highest honor since Hilary Barte in 2009.
Joining Gibbs as a First Team honoree was junior Mallory Burdette, who had been named to the Second Team in each of her first two seasons. Junior Stacey Tan was awarded a spot on this year's Second Team.
No. 5 Stanford takes on No. 29 Yale on Saturday, May 12, at 3 p.m. in an NCAA second-round match.
For the men, senior Bradley Klahn was honored as a First Team selection for the fourth consecutive season. Fellow senior Ryan Thacher was appointed to the Second Team, also earning all-conference accolades for the fourth year in a row.
No. 11 Stanford faces Sacramento State on Saturday, May 12, at 12 p.m. in an NCAA first-round match.
