FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Stanford shot a team score of 307 (+19) today and remains in 24th place after three rounds of the NCAA Championships being held at the Vanderbilt Legends Golf Club in Franklin, Tenn.
At 920, the Cardinal is five strokes behind Ohio State.
Alabama saw its 11-stroke lead whittled down to two after the Crimson Tide shot an 18-over 306 on Thursday, opening the door for a handful of teams who have now climbed into the title hunt heading into the final round.
The Tide has a two stroke lead over USC while Purdue, South Carolina and Virginia are tied for third just six strokes off the pace at 883.
Chirapat Jao-Javanil of Oklahoma shot a two-under 70 today to move into a tie for first place with Arizona State's Giulia Malinaro at 212 (-4).
Brooke Pancake of Alabama and Tessa Teachman of LSU are one stroke back at 213.
Mariko Tumangan is tied for 50th at 225 (+9) after shooting a 79 on Thursday. The freshman was three-over after her first three holes but birdied the par-4 17th hole (her eighth of the day) to make the turn at two-0ver. However, she bogeyed four of her first six holes on her second nine en route to a second round 79.
Sally Watson shot a two-over 74 today and is tied for 71st place at 228 (+12) for the tournament. Watson, who had five birdies on her third round card, was two-under through seven holes but made back-to-back double bogeys on her eighth and ninth holes. Three birdies on her second nine were offset by three bogeys.
Sydney Burlison carded a third round 76 and is tied for 107th place at 234 (+18). She made the turn at one-over par but made four bogeys on her second nine before collecting a birdie on her final hole.
Sophomore Marissa Mar finished with a 79 on Thursday and is tied for 111th at 235 (+19) while Kristina Wong's third round 78 leaves her in 124th place at 241 (+25).
Stanford will be paired with Ohio State and Tennessee for the final round of the NCAA Championships and will tee off at 7:33 a.m. ET.
