STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore oarswoman Daphne Martschenko was named to the All-Pac-12 Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Martschenko was the lone Cardinal rower on the team, and earlier in the week was named to the CRCA's All-West Region Team.

The No. 11 Stanford women begin competition at the NCAA Championships Friday morning, as Martschenko and the I Eight lead things off in the class' third qualifying heat at 6:30 a.m. PT. The event takes place on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

Martschenko and the I Eight took fifth at the Pac-12 Championships two weeks ago, leading the Cardinal to a fourth-place team finish overall.

In April, the I Eight took third in the top group at the Lake Natoma Invitational behind California and Wisconsin.
