High School: 2003 Oregon high school 1,500 meter champion with a time of 3:51.39, the fourth-fastest performance in the nation that year Runner-up in the 800 meters at the 2003 Oregon high school state meet and ran the sixth-fastest time in the nation for the 800 meters in 2003 Finished sixth in the 1,500 meters (3:53.9) at the 2003 U.S. Junior National Championships.
