Opened her collegiate career with 39 straight dual match wins... Went 15-6 against ranked opponents during the season with one of the losses coming against teammate Julie Scott... 1996-97 (Freshman): Turned in a stellar freshman campaign, registering an perfect 23-0 mark in dual match play, primarily at the No. 6 position, and a 32-6 mark overall... She was the only Cardinal (min. 10 matches) to go undefeated in dual match play... Recorded an inspirational comeback at the No. 6 singles position against Florida in the NCAA title match... Down 4-0 in the third set, she rallied for a 6-4 win that helped propel the Cardinal to the team title... Finished the year ranked 54th in the nation ... Received honorable mention All-Pac-10 Southern Division honors... Captured the Flight 3 singles title at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over California's Emeka Mayes...
