Simi and Lara...learned to play baseball in Saudi Arabia, and suited up for the country in the 2000 Little League World Series when he was 12 years old...also participated in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game...his earliest baseball memory is winning a "Baserunning Champion" contest when he was eight years old...chose Stanford because, in his words, "the best education plus the best athletics equals Stanford, and it's in California"...got a head start on his career working with the venture capitalist company G51 in Austin, Texas, during the last two summers...majoring in biomechanical engineering.
