2005-2006: Walked on to Stanford Lightweight Crew as a freshman. Rowed two-seat of Pacific Coast champion Lightweight Novice 4+.
High School: Multi-sport athlete in cross-country, basketball and track and field. AP scholar with distinction. Intel Science Talent Search Semifinalist. 2005 Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year Award.
Personal: Biological Sciences and Chinese double major. Member of Army ROTC, Alpha Kappa Delta Phi, and the American Medical Student Association. Post-grad plans include medical school and becoming a vascular surgeon. Spent last summer working at Maduke Lab and attending Army Airborne School in Fort Benning, GA. Favorite books are Hot Zone and The Fountainhead. Hobbies include running and reading. Has two siblings, Hamlin, 15, and Alvana, 9. Parents are Eva and Hoa Lap Ha. Born in Santa Clara, CA.
