Stanford Men's Soccer Team Cracks Top 25

Stanford, CA -- Bolstered by a 3-0-0 start and an eight-game winning streak, dating back to the 1996 season, the Stanford University men's soccer team cracked the NSCAA/Umbro Top 25 Poll this week, entering the chart at #15. The Cardinal, which opened the season with victories over San Jose State (2-1), Cal State Northridge (4-0) and UNLV (1-0), received 97 points. The Cardinal won the 13th Annual UNLV/Coors Light Invitational with the wins over CSUN and UNLV. The NSCAA/Umbro Top 25 is voted on by representatives of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
