As a junior in 1998: Appeared in 15 matches, making nine starts on the year as a defender... Assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-0 blanking of Rider for his first career point.
As a sophomore in 1997: Made his first collegiate appearance in the 4-0 win over Saint Mary's... Saw significant action against Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament... Also played in the MPSF Championship game against UCLA.
As a freshman in 1996: Redshirted his freshman year... Earned the Honor-Athlete Award in the spring quarter.
High School: Prepped at St. Paul Academy and Summit School, where he was a three year letterwinner and starter... Led the Spartans to the state final his senior year, capturing team MVP, First Team All-State and Minneapolis Star Tribune Scholar-Athlete of the Year (soccer) honors that season... Helped lead his team to the state title his junior year... Selected to the state All-Tournament team in 1994... Also played point guard for the Spartan basketball team... National Merit Scholar.
Personal: Son of Robert and Niki Gores... Serves as a Partnership for Academic Excellence (PAE) mentor... Received Honor Roll Award in Spring of '97... Hobbies and interests include ping pong, sledding and watching movies... Majoring in international relations.
