| The All-American catcher for the Cardinal was a three-year letterman from 1956 to 1958 leading the team in hitting at .358, while earning All-America honors in 1958. He caught some of the top teams in school-history to that point as the 1956 team won 24 games and the 1958 team won 23, the second and third most victories to that point. | |||||||||||
