| A fullback on The Farm under Coach Glenn “Pop” Warner and second team All-American in 1928, Biff Hoffman was a member of the 1926 team that went undefeated and was named co-national champions after tying Alabama in the 1927 Rose Bowl. Hoffman was appointed team captain in 1927 and led the team to victory in the 1928 Rose Bowl. In 1954, Hoffman was retroactively named the game’s Most Outstanding Player when the award was created. | |||||||||
