| One of the best to ever play at Stanford Golf Course, Bud Brownell held the course record, 63, for over 60 years. A two-year letterwinner, he propelled Stanford to the national team title with his individual runner-up performance in 1941, a year that also saw him win the conference championship. His promising career was shortened by WWII, as he passed away over the Pacific defending his country. | |||||||||||
