The Farm Report
Stanford will play host to Arizona for a three-game Pac-12 Conference series April 19-21 at Sunken Diamond. The Cardinal is 7-5 in league play and fourth in the standings, one spot ahead of Arizona and its 8-7 conference record.

Since dropping its opening league series to Utah (1-2), Stanford has picked up three consecutive series wins over Washington State (2-1), USC (2-1) and Washington (2-1).

Stanford has won two straight and nine of its last 12 contests (March 28-April 16). The latest 12-game stint came after the Cardinal dropped six of seven (March 8-26). Stanford won 10 of 12 to begin the season, including a nine-game winning streak from Feb. 20-March 5.

Stanford went 3-1 last week, dispatching San Jose State on the road before posting bookend victories over Washington in a three-game weekend set. Senior LF Just Ringo batted .444 last week with one double, one home run, six RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Ringo drove in three runs - two of which came by way of a two-run home run - in the series finale against the Huskies.

The Cardinal has scored 42 runs over its last six Pac-12 games (7.0 per game), more than two runs per game above its season average.

Cardinal pitchers have struck out 8.2 batters per nine innings, a figure that leads the Pac-12 and ranks 25th in the nation.

Stanford's four-game homestand continues with an April 23 meeting against San Jose State. The Cardinal will then play six of its next seven on the road beginning with a three-game series at Oregon (April 26-28).
