STANFORD, Calif.- Nolan Paige has been named the ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year, advancing to the national ballot for consideration among the country's top freshmen performers.

Playing at the No. 2 singles spot for the majority of the year, Paige finished 20-18 overall and 9-13 in duals. A native of Fairfield, Conn., Paige maintained a national ranking for the final two months of the year. He immediately opened eyes in the fall as Stanford's best player and someone who could play high in the lineup.

In his first career tournament, Paige defeated fellow rookie teammates Maciek Romanowicz and Trey Strobel on the way to winning the Aggie Fall Invitational title. Two weeks later, Paige reached the semifinals of the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, highlighted by a straight-set win over Washington's Kyle McMorrow, currently ranked No. 17 in the country.
