Kasey Crider to Join Stanford Women's Volleyball Staff

STANFORD, Calif. - Former Pepperdine University standout Kasey Crider has joined the Stanford women's volleyball staff for the upcoming 2013 season, head coach John Dunning announced today. Crider replaces Matt Hoffman, who will be an assistant coach at Wichita State this fall.

A two-time All-American, Crider comes to The Farm after serving the 2013 season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Pepperdine men's volleyball team. He was a setter for the Waves from 2008-11, and finished his career second all-time at with 3,989 assists. He also earned multiple All-MPSF honors during his career.

A native of Granite Bay, Calif., Crider played professionally overseas after graduation. He competed for Boldklubben Marienlyst, located in Denmark during the 2011-12 season. He led the squad to first-place finishes in both the Nordic Cup and Danish Pokal Cup Championships. He was tabbed the Danish Super League Player of the Year, earned the Best Setter Award and was picked as MVP of the Danish Pokal Cup Championship.

A member of the USA Youth/Junior National Team from 2006-09, Crider also has coaching experience at the high school and club levels. He served as an assistant varsity coach for the girls' team at the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles in 2012, and as a head coach and an assist for the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy from 2009-13.
