STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's water polo secured 10 spots on the MPSF All-Academic List for the fifth straight season on Wednesday, tallying the most in the conference.

In total, the Cardinal had four seniors, four juniors and two sophomores honored. Student-athletes selected for this award must possess a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at her respective institution and competed in at least 50 percent of her team's games in 2013.

Seniors Kate Baldoni (3.32 cumulative GPA), Jillian Garton (3.44) and Alexis Lee (3.26) were included on the MPSF's list for the third consecutive year.

Juniors Kaitlyn Lo (3.55) and Kelsey Suggs (3.11) made their second straight appearance.

Stanford had five individuals selected to MPSF All-Academic for the first time, including senior Melissa Seidemann (3.07), juniors Annika Dries (3.38) and Lexie Ross (3.08) and sophomores Ashley Grossman (3.47) and Catherine Carpenter (3.34).

Stanford women's water polo (29-3) finished its season just shy of its third straight NCAA title after falling to USC 10-9 in a quadruple-overtime thriller in Boston on May 12.
