STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford senior shortstop Jenna Rich has been selected the Pac-12 Player of the Week for April 29 - May 5, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Rich led Stanford offensively to its first-ever series sweep over rival California. Rich went 7-for-16 hitting .438 on the weekend to go along with 10 RBI, an .875 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.

In the first game of the series the Cardinal topped then-No. 12 Cal 13-5. Rich broke the Stanford career RBI record as she hit a three-run homer. She now has 210 RBI in her career passing the previous mark of 201 set in 2002 by Sarah Beeson.

In the five inning 17-2 victory on Saturday, Stanford registered its largest margin of victory over Cal in program history. Rich hit a two-run single and scored two runs in the game. She went 3-for-4 on Sunday in a 7-5 win, which included a double and another home run.

Rich nabs her first Player of the Week honor and picks up the 53rd weekly award for the Cardinal. Oregon senior Jessica Moore was named the conference's Pitcher of the Week.

Stanford wraps-up the regular season this week, playing host to Santa Clara on Tuesday, May 7 before welcoming Pac-12 foe Arizona for a three-game series, May 9-11, at Smith Family Stadium.
