Conference championships will be decided this weekend and various Stanford teams are right in the thick of their respective chases.
Men's and women's tennis each make their annual treks to Ojai to compete in the Pac-12's marquee events. The men, which play a team tournament in addition to the singles and doubles draws, aim to burnish their NCAA Tournament credentials beginning with Thursday's quarterfinal against Oregon. The women, meanwhile, forego a team tournament, with singles and doubles tournaments opening up Thursday.
Men's and women's golf also go for their respective Pac-12 crowns beginning Friday, as the men travel to Arizona and the women to Corvallis, Ore. for their three-round events.
In MPSF Championship action, No. 3 men's volleyball heads to Provo where Thursday at 4 p.m. PT it takes on No. 2 seed Pepperdine in semifinal action, with an eye also on earning an NCAA Tournament berth.
Top-ranked women's water polo travels to Los Angeles where, as the top seed in the MPSF Championship it begins action in Saturday's semifinal, awaiting the winner of Friday's quarterfinal between California and San Jose State.
On The Farm, its a doubleheader weekend with baseball and softball serving as hosts to California and No. 1/1 Oregon, respectively. Women's lacrosse wraps up its MPSF regular season Thursday against California at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium, while women's rowing hosts USC at Redwood Shores Saturday.
