Card Earn All-Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. -- Twenty-two Stanford track and field athletes earned All-Academic honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation during the indoor season.

The MPSF list includes four who earned All-America honors during the same season: Claudia Saunders, Jessica Tonn, Luke Lefebure, and Sean McGorty.

The two All-Academic honorees with the highest GPA were sophomore middle-distance runner Sophie Chase (3.82), a history major, and junior pole vaulter Dan Emery, a geophysics major.

Altogether, Stanford track and field placed 12 men and 10 women on the MPSF All-Academic team, which recognizes those of at least sophomore standing with cumulative grade-point averages of 3.00 and competed in at least half of each team’s meets during the indoor season.
