STANFORD, Calif. – Ivana Hong and Elizabeth Price were named NACGC/W Regular Season All-Americans, as announced by the organization recently.
Hong was named a second team Regular Season All-America on beam, while Price earned first team recognition on vault.
Ivana Hong (human biology) claimed the third regional title of her career this year when she placed first at the NCAA Morgantown Regional on beam with a career-best 9.950. She has hit 22-of-24 (92 percent) of her routines this season.
Freshman Elizabeth Price was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year – an annual award given to the conference’s top non-all-around gymnast. She claimed a share of the Pac-12 title on bars and has logged 11 victories in 16 routines: vault (6), bars (4) and floor (1).
Price has scored 9.925 or higher in 13-of-16 performances and began her collegiate career with seven consecutive victories. She scored a 10.0 on vault in her Pac-12 debut against Oregon State on Jan. 26.
The NACGC/W recognizes Regular Season All-America honors by their Regional Qualifying Score. It awards the top eight on each event and the all-around, as first team honors, and 9-16 on each event and the all-around, as second team honors, inclusive of all ties for both first and second team.
Stanford will compete at the NCAA Championships for the eighth time in nine years, and 15th time overall, as it heads to Fort Worth, Texas, this weekend. The Cardinal is seeking its seventh Super Six berth since 2002. The Cardinal is one of seven teams in the nation to make at least six Super Six appearances in the past 13 years (2002-14).
