Hello, all! Today SWG was able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before walking to the arena. After finding the team entrance much quicker than last year but then getting a tad confused when trying to find our locker room, we finally got settled down into our HUGE locker room with plenty of time to munch on some lunch and get all gymnastics-upped.
We were all set for a great practice before ... (impending plot twist) ... practice was delayed for an hour due to some overly rough bars!
It was all good, though, as we got chill together in the locker room with some great snacks (appreciative shout out to the NCAA) and always entertaining teammates. Once practice finally started, SWG showed just how great this team is with some huge vaults, great bar sticks, beautiful beam and captivating floor.
Pictures were taken, excitement grew, and the stage was set for a magical weekend.
Practice was fun and productive, dinner was delicious and our seniors managed to make the day even better with a wonderful video they put together. In it, we got to hear the well wishes, the expressions of love, and the excitement and confidence of our SWG family, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that laughing and crying (I saw you, Sam) through that video together helped realize how special this team and this experience truly are.
So thank you, seniors, for all that you do and all that you are, and thank you to everyone out there supporting SWG.
Get pumped for a great day tomorrow and believe in who Stanford is and what we can do because it's going to be straight-up amazing!
