Two on Watch List

STANFORD, Calif. - Kevin Anderson and Blake Martinez each found a spot on the Lott IMPACT Trophy watch list, as announced by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation.

Anderson, who will be a fifth-year senior outside linebacker next season, was a Pac-12 Conference honorable mention performer during his first year as a full-time starter in 2014. He had 52 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks during his senior campaign.

Martinez was a Pac-12 honorable mention inside linebacker in 2014, while also earning Pac-12 All-Academic honors. Martinez posted a team-high 102 tackles as a junior, with 7.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He had three interceptions and forced two fumbles.

The Stanford pair represents two of the 42 college student-athletes nominated for the annual award.

The selections are based on athletic ability and character attributes. The nominees are considered for their academic standing, their community contributions, their leadership skills and their overall character.

Past winners of the Lott IMPACT Trophy have exhibited these characteristics, ones that were and are displayed by Ronnie Lott and embraced by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, founders and sponsors of the event.

The 12th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy Award banquet will be held Dec. 13 at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California.
