STANFORD, Calif. - One day after the NCAA team brackets were announced, both Stanford tennis teams were well represented among the singles and doubles selections for the 2015 NCAA Championships.

For the women, sophomores Taylor Davidson, Caroline Doyle and Carol Zhao, the event’s No. 2 overall seed, will participate in the singles draw. Davidson and Zhao will team up in doubles as the tournament’s No. 2 overall seed while Doyle and senior Ellen Tsay have received an at-large bid.

On the men’s side, freshman Tom Fawcett has received an at-large entry. Seniors John Morrissey and Robert Stineman will represent the Cardinal in doubles as an at-large selection.

Only the selections were announced on Wednesday afternoon, while the individual brackets will be released in two weeks at the conclusion of the team competition.

The individual portion of the NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Championship is scheduled for May 20-25 in Waco, Texas, with singles play kicking off on May 20 and the doubles competition getting underway on May 21.

Sophomore Taylor Davidson:
Ranked No. 17 nationally … 27-8 overall … 16-3 in duals, playing mainly at the No. 2 spot (14-3) … 11-5 in tournament play … 9-6 against nationally-ranked opponents … 8-2 over last 10 matches.

Sophomore Caroline Doyle:
Ranked No. 27 nationally … 27-5 overall … 17-2 in duals, playing primarily at the No. 3 position (15-2) … 10-3 in tournament play … 9-4 against nationally-ranked foes … has won seven in a row.

Sophomore Carol Zhao:
No. 2 overall seed in tournament … ranked No. 2 nationally … claimed USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships title in October … 27-4 overall … 18-2 in duals, playing all of her matches at the No. 1 spot … 9-2 in tournament play … 15-2 against nationally-ranked players … has won seven in a row.

Davidson/Zhao:
No. 2 overall seed in tournament … ranked No. 2 nationally … captured Pac-12 Championships title on April 26 … claimed NCTC Classic crown in January … 29-6 overall … 13-4 in duals, all at the No. 1 spot … 15-3 vs. nationally-ranked duos … four-match winning streak.

Doyle/Senior Ellen Tsay:
Ranked No. 18 nationally … pocketed Freeman Invitational Championships crown in January … 25-8 overall … 12-5 in duals, all at the No. 2 spot … 13-3 in tournament play … 7-5 against nationally-ranked tandems.

Freshman Tom Fawcett:
Ranked No. 30 nationally … claimed USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships title in October … 26-9 overall … 14-5 in duals, playing all his matches at the No. 1 spot … 14-5 in tournament play … 7-6 against nationally-ranked players.

Seniors John Morrissey/Robert Stineman:
Ranked No. 13 nationally … 14-3 overall and in duals, with every match coming at the No. 1 spot … riding a 10-match winning streak.
