STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford will have a presence on both the men’s and women’s side when the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships get underway later this week.

The singles competition begins Wednesday, with doubles play following on Thursday. 

Here’s a list of who is sticking around Waco, Texas for the week:

Sophomore Taylor Davidson:
All-Pac-12 First Team honoree … ranked No. 19 nationally … 29-8 overall … 18-3 in duals, playing mainly at the No. 2 spot (16-3) … 11-5 in tournament play … 11-6 against nationally-ranked opponents … 8-2 over last 10 matches … making second career appearance at NCAA Singles Championship, reaching second round as a freshman.

Sophomore Caroline Doyle:
All-Pac-12 Second Team recipient … ranked No. 25 nationally … 28-6 overall … 18-3 in duals, playing primarily at the No. 3 position (16-3) … 10-3 in tournament play … 10-5 against nationally-ranked foes … had won eight in a row prior to loss against Georgia on Sunday … making second career appearance at NCAA Singles Championship, reaching second round as a freshman.

Sophomore Carol Zhao:
ITA Northwest Region Player to Watch … All-Pac-12 First Team honoree … No. 2 overall seed in tournament … ranked No. 2 nationally … claimed USTA/ITA Northwest Regional Championships title in October … 30-4 overall … 21-2 in duals, playing all of her matches at the No. 1 spot … 9-2 in tournament play … 17-2 against nationally-ranked players … has won 10 in a row, with her last loss coming on March 22 … making second career appearance at NCAA Singles Championship, reaching round of 16 as a freshman.
