STANFORD, Calif. – Rising senior Graham Shuler has been named to the Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List, as announced Tuesday.
The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in college football.
Shuler, who also was named to the watch list as a junior in 2014, played and started in 13 games last season for the Cardinal. He anchored an offensive line that ranked 18th nationally in tackles for loss allowed (4.62/game) and 42nd in sacks allowed (1.77/game).
Dave Rimington, the award’s namesake, was a consensus first team All-America center at Nebraska in 1981 and 1982, during which time he became the John Outland Trophy’s only double winner as the nation’s finest college interior lineman.
