Janelle Allen enters her first season with the Cardinal as the Director of Beach Volleyball Operations in the 2025 season.
Allen joins Stanford from across the bay, most recently acting as California's Director of Indoor Volleyball Operations in 2023. The Golden Bears finished the 2023 season with their first winning record since 2019 and career milestones from several individuals.
Allen attended Eastern Washington University, where she played both volleyball and basketball. She is a three-time All-Big Sky honoree in the former, including the 2002 MVP, and was also named All-Big Sky Honorable Mention in basketball. During her collegiate volleyball career, she set the school record in kills.
After graduation, Allen played on the AVP Pro Beach Tour, competing on the circuit from 2006-2021 and earning multiple top-10 finishes. She also coached at the collegiate, high school and club levels for over 15 years.
Allen is married to professional beach volleyball player Billy Allen. Together, they have one son, Ketch.
