Prior to Stanford

  • White at Great Oak High School, became just the second male since 1923 to win California state titles in the 800m/880y and 1,600m/mile at the same meet.
  • The task is especially difficult considering there are prelims in both events the day before the finals, and California has no enrollment divisions
  • The temperature was over 100 degrees each day
  • Helped lead Great Oak of Temecula to victory at the Nike Cross Nationals, earning the school's first national championship
  • Named Riverside Press-Enterprise Boys Athlete of the Year over sprinter Michael Norman
  • Placed third in the 800 at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals, running a personal best 1:50.20
  • Won the mile at the 2016 indoor Milrose Games, passing four runners in the final 50 meters at The Armory in Manhattan, and edged a celebrating opponent at the tape, winning in 4:09.87 on national television
  • Ran the fourth-fastest 1,600 in the nation in 2016 with his personal best 4:04.01 to win the Southern Section Masters Meet
  • Member of 4x1,600 relay that set national records in consecutive weeks, at Arcadia and Mt. SAC Relays
  • Ran 1:49.3 split in anchoring 4x800 team to victory at New Balance Nationals
  • Four-time CIF Southern Section Division I champion, winning both the 800 and 1,600 in 2015 and 2016
  • Seventh at the 2015 California Division I cross country championships as the No. 3 runner for champion Great Oak
  • Won Southwestern League 800 title all four years
  • Ran 9:00.28 in the 3,200 at the 2016 Arcadia Invitational
