Valeriy Naulo was ranked as one of the top five Ukrainian fencers for four years during his time in competition. Naulo has a master's in physical education with a focus in fencing from the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine. He worked with the Ukrainian National Students Team as well as beginner classes at the Stormbringer Sport Club.
In the U.S., Naulo worked in various fencing clubs throughout New York as substitute coach for eight years.
Naulo joined the Cardinal Fencing Club in 2004. He teaches foil and epee.
