Prior to Stanford

• Played at Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut for head coach Jonathan Wholley
• A unanimous four-star recruit and a consensus top-200 recruit nationally
• Ranked as high as the No. 7 defensive lineman recruit in the nation by On3 and the consensus No. 1 defensive lineman recruit in Connecticut
• Also competed in Wrestling, Track & Field, and Volleyball
• Junior Avon Old Farms Athlete of the Year
• 2022 All-NESPAC Honorable Mention
• 2022 First-Team All-Founders League
• Avon Old Farms Track & Field’s Most Improved award
• 2024 All-American Bowl roster member

Personal

• Son of Innocent and Ogonna Umeh
• Has four siblings: Basil, Michael, Paula, and David
• Enjoys reading, cooking, writing, and video games
• Was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma in spring 2023 and beat it by November 2023 
• Hopes to major in Computer Science
