Julia Vazquez Season 2013-14

2013-14 (Freshman)

• Moved up to the second varsity eight for the Big Row, taking down No. 2 Cal’s 4V8 
• Placed second in the Women’s Open 8+ at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships 
• Raced for the first time in the spring at the WIRA Championships, taking silver in the WLt4 Grand Final 
• Made her collegiate debut with the openweights in the fall, placing fifth in the novice eight at the Head of the Lagoon

High School

• Graduated in 2013 from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School 
• Co-captain of the rowing team as a senior 
• Won a gold medal at the 2012 WMIRA Championship in the varsity eight 
• Won the Maryland State Championship in the JV eight in both 2012 and 2013 
• Semifinalist in the varsity eight at the 2012 SRAA National Championships 
• Made it to the semifinals in the varsity eight in 2012 and the JV eight in 2011 and 2013 at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta
• Rowed at the 2011 Head of the Charles 
• Received the Coaches’ Award in 2010-11
