Martine Johannessen Season 2013-14

2013-14 (Freshman)

• Made the varsity eight as a freshman 
• Placed second in the Grand Final of the varsity eight after winning the heat at the IRA National Championships 
• Captured the Women’s Collegiate Lightweight Trophy with a win at the San Diego Crew Classic
• Claimed first place in the Women’s Open 8+ and fourth with the Stanford C four at the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships
• Earned a win over No. 4 Boston University and No. 5 Wisconsin in a three-team race in Boston 
• Defeated Saint Mary’s in head-to-head action at the Pac-12 Challenge 
• Claimed a first place finish with the Stanford A boat in the Women’s Open 8+ and a fourth place finish with the Stanford B boat in the Women’s Open 4+ at the Head of the Lagoon 
• Sat in the six seat for the Varsity Eight’s fifth place finish at the 49th Head of the Charles regatta

High School

• Graduated in 2013 from Harvard-Westlake in Los Angeles 
• Competed for the Marina Aquatic Center from 2011-13 
• Won the 2012 Head of the Charles in the Varsity 4+ 
• Placed second in the Lightweight 4+ at the Southwest Regionals in 2013 
• Raced in the first MAC Women’s Eight to qualify for Junior Nationals in 2013
• Also played volleyball from 2009-11
