A native of Toronto and a graduate of Long Island, Wilson is the PGA Director of Instruction and La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos, California.

Over the years, Wilson has worked with players at all stages of development, with the majority of his work being focused on supporting competitive players looking to bring their games to the highest levels.

Many athletes that Wilson has worked with have gone on to experience success at the national, AJGA, and NCAA levels. For his outstanding work with junior aged golfers, Wilson was named to the U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teachers List in 2014.

An avid student of the game, Wilson is very interested in the fields of motor learning, kinesiology, and sport psychology, and how they pertain to learning and playing golf. In addition to self-directed research, Wilson holds advanced certifications in coaching from Sport Canada, The Coaching Assosciation of Canada, and the Titleist Performance Institute, and is one of only a select number of professionals in North America to attain 'Master' status from TrackMan University. Wilson also benefits from the continued mentorship of some of the game’s leading coaches, specifically Cameron McCormick and James Sieckmann.

Prior to arriving in California, Wilson worked closely with Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher and former Golf Canada national men’s coach Henry Brunton in operating his private academy in Toronto. During that time, Wilson lead all aspects of 'Strive for Excellence,' a comprehensive, year-round coaching and training program for aspiring high-performance juniors ages 13-18- and 'New Competitive Golfer,' a specialized coaching and training program for young golfers ages 8-13 who are learning to play the game and are new to competition.

Wilson has also worked closely with Golf Canada and their High Performance Programs, most recently serving as coach and captain of Team Canada at the 2015 Toyota World Junior Golf Team Championships in Japan.

As a student-athlete at Long Island, Wilson was the captain of the men's golf team, was an All-Northeast Conference first team selection, Long Island Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and was named to ESPN The Magazine's All-Academic Team.
