- Also raced in the No. 4 seat on the 1V4 at the IRA Championships, helping Stanford to 16th overall
International
- Earned a victory for the U.S. in the men's eight at the 2023 U19 CanAmMex Regatta
- The event concluded a collaboration camp between Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. that included a week of training followed by a regatta
- Invited to the 2023 USRowing U19 national team selection camp

- Competed for the Wayland-Weston Rowing Association team, which served both Wayland and Weston high schools
- First at the 2023 USRowing Northeast Regionals in the men's pair
- Second at the 2024 USRowing Northeast Regionals in the men's pair
Personal
- Parents are Peter and Kristina Orio
- Has two siblings, Adam and Sophia
- A competitive basketball player before turning to rowing
- Made the national team within a year of breaking his back in a ski accident
- Helped organize the Weston Yard Collective a yard maintenance service for family, friends, and community
