National Team

  • Competed for the United States Senior National team in 2013, the U-23 National Team from 2011-12 and the U.S. Junior National Team from 2009-10 
  • Part of the U.S. men's eight that rowed to a gold medal at the 2013 Samsung World Rowing Cup #3 event in Lucerne, Switzerland, his first gold with the senior national team 
  • Helped the U.S. eight to the bronze medal at the 2013 World Rowing Championships in Chungju, South Korea 
  • Notched a fourth place finish in the Men’s Pair at the 2012 World Rowing U-23 Championships in Trakai, Lithuania 
  • Won gold in the Men’s 8+ with the U.S. Team at the 2011 U-23 World Championships in Amsterdam 
  • Won gold in the Junior Men’s 8+ at the 2010 World Rowing Junior Championships in Racice, Czech Republic 
  • Finished fourth in the Junior Men’s 8+ at the 2009 World Rowing Junior Championships in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France.

2012-13 (Junior)

  • Finalist for the USRowing Collegiate Athlete of the Year

  • Stroked the Varsity 8+ to two wins over Cal 
  • Led the Varsity I Eight to a silver finish at the Pac-12 Championships
  • Member of the men’s four that captured the Championship Four class at the Head of the Charles regatta
  • Placed eighth at the IRA Championships in the Varsity I Eight

2011-12 (Sophomore)

  • Named the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year 
  • All-Pac-12 team selection 
  • Pac-12 All-Academic first team choice 
  • Member of the Varsity I Eight that placed 14th overall after taking second place in the third final at the IRA National Championships 
  • Claimed bronze in the Varsity I Eight at the Pac-12 Championships 
  • Sat in the No. 3 seat of Stanford's four that took sixth in the championship four event of the Head of the Charles

2010-11 (Freshman)

  • Rowed with the Varsity squad through the PAC-10 Championships, then stroked the Frosh 8+ that took 9th at the IRA 
  • Placed second in the Copley Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic 
  • Took second in the Varsity I Eight and Varsity A Four at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival 
  • Also finished second in the Windermere Cup Varsity I Eight race

High School

  • Graduated in 2010 from Lyme-Old Lyme High School 
  • Four-year member of the varsity rowing team, including two years as captain of the squad 
  • Took fourth and first in the 8+ at the 2009 and 2010 Junior World Rowing Championships, respectively 
  • Won the junior 4+ at the 2008 USRowing Club National Championships 
  • Won the junior four and eight at the CanAmMex Regatta
  • Made four appearances at the NEIRA Championships 
  • Placed fifth in the Senior Double Sculls at the 2008 Stotesbury Cup Regatta
