Personal

• Son of Don and Carolyn Shaw
• Father coached the Stanford women's volleyball team to four NCAA titles in 16 seasons (440-70, .863), and was the Cardinal men's head coach for seven seasons
• Sister, Jordan, played volleyball at Saint Mary's College and is now the head coach of the Gaels' beach volleyball team
• Described his happiest moment as signing a letter of intent to Stanford
