As a junior at Newberg (Ore.) High, threw the javelin 206-0 (62.78 meters) at the 2013 Nike/Jesuit Twilight Relays.
The throw placed him No. 7 on the 2013 national high school list.
Placed ninth at the 2014 New Balance Outdoor Nationals (192-1, 58.54m).
Won the 2013 BorderDuel Track Classic between athletes from Oregon and Washington, throwing 190-5 (58.03m).
Placed as high as fourth at the Oregon 6A Championships, in 2014.
Also placed fifth in state as a sophomore and eighth as a junior.
Outstanding all-around athlete who high-jumped 6-3, ran 11.26 in the 100, long-jumped 21-2 1/2, and was a member of Newberg's 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
