• 2019 New Balance Indoor Nationals champ at a PB 17-5 1/2 (5.32m)

Personal

• Father, Pat Manson, was a two-time U.S. top-ranked vaulter and three-time Pan Am Games gold medalist
• Mother, the former Amy Legacki, was a two-time Big Ten distance champion at Indiana
• Sister, Mia, is a pole vaulter at Michigan and a champion climber 
• Max is a champion climber, summiting all 53 of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks by age 12
• Colorado's 2017 Young Climber of the Year
• Owned two divisional speed-climbing championships
• Has his own You Tube channel: "Adventures to the Max"
