• Totaled season-high 9.800 on beam at the NorCal Classic (Jan. 8)

As a Freshman (2017) 

• Competed in 11 meets on beam, 10 on floor and nine on vault
• Established career-high 9.900 on beam, tying for seventh at Pac-12 Championships (March 18)
• Claimed event title by posting career-best 9.825 on vault at Arizona State (Feb. 18)

• 2016 graduate of Oak Ridge High School
• Trained at Technique Gymnastics in Rancho Cordova, California, for 13 years
• Named club Gymnast of the Year in 2016
• Region I Silver Medal Team member in 2016
• Three-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier (2011, 2012, 2016)
• NorCal State vault and floor Champion in 2016
• Named 2015 Most Valuable Gymnast
• National Invitational Tournament all-around champion in 2014
• Region I Bronze Medal Team member in 2011
• Junior Olympics national beam champion in 2010
• Helped lead club to third-place finishes at the NorCal State Championships in 2011 and 2012, and a fourth-place result in 2010

Personal

• Daughter of Morris and Fanny Tai
• Has two younger siblings, Collin and Everett
• Aunt, Mae Tai O’Malley, was a coxswain on the Stanford men’s crew team
• Father, Morris, was an Olympic weightlifter throughout college
• National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women Scholastic All-American
• Member of the Stanford Student-Athlete Advisory Committee 
• Volunteers at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and for Children's Champions
• Earned the Educational Excellence Award during the 2015-16 school year
• In 2019, conducted research with the Mechanical Engineering Summer Undergraduate Research Institute, working in the Interdisciplinary Research Lab in Sustainable Design
