Schwarzmann completed her first season at Stanford during the 2012-13 season when she helped lead the Cardinal to the first NCAA Tournament victory in program history as the team defeated Notre Dame, 8-7.
Schwarzmann brought Mountain Pacific Sports Federation experience to The Farm after helping San Diego State to a successful launch of their program in 2011-12.
"We are really excited to find an assistant with Lauren's experience," said Bokker. "She has great enthusiasm for the game and her passion is evident as a coach. She is going to bring a high level of energy to Stanford lacrosse."
Schwarzmann came to Stanford after one season at San Diego State where she helped the Aztecs to a 5-10 record in the first season of the program's existence.
"I am thrilled to be here at Stanford University," said Schwarzmann. "I appreciate this opportunity and am excited to work with Amy, Brooke and the student-athletes. It is an honor to work at such a prestigious university and can't wait to get started winning championships."
Before her time at San Diego State, Schwarzmann spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Cincinnati. With the Bearcats, she was the team's designated offensive coordinator and director of recruiting.
The 2008 graduate of Johns Hopkins was a four-time all-league player for the Blue Jays. As a senior, she was named to the Tewaaraton Trophy watch list, the award given to the top collegiate lacrosse player in the nation. She finished her collegiate career with 79 goals and 39 assists, both which rank in the top-10 at Johns Hopkins.
Schwarzmann has also participated as a member of the U.S. National Team.
