Jake Power begins his second season with the Stanford women’s rowing program.
Power comes to The Farm after a standout career with the University of Virginia men’s rowing program.
An All-America selection for Virginia, Power coxed the Cavaliers’ varsity eight from 2014-16. Voted team captain in his final year, he guided UVA to a third-place team finish at the 2016 American Collegiate Rowing Association championship regatta. Power was named a second-team ACRA All-America pick at the conclusion of the 2015 season. He coxed the varsity four to a gold medal at the 2015 Head of the Charles.
A member of the Dean’s List and three-time ACRA Academic All-America selection (2014-16), Power earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with Distinction from Virginia in 2016.
While serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the Stanford women’s rowing program, Power is also a research assistant in the Behavioral Lab at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is facilitating online and in-lab marketing and behavioral research for nearly 100 faculty and students.
Power has also served as a research assistant in Virginia’s Darden School of Business the past four years.
