Tyler Taylor begins his second year as the volunteer assistant coach on the women’s volleyball staff in 2016-17.
Taylor comes to The Farm with a wealth of coaching experience at the collegiate, high school and club levels. Most recently, he served as the assistant men's volleyball coach at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California, where he helped lead the Rustlers to the PCAC League Championship and CCCAA state title in 2013. He has also spent time at the University of Nevada and Central Arizona College.
His club coaching experience began with Zona Volleyball Club in Tucson, Arizona in 2005. He has also coached for Arizona Premier Volleyball Club (2009-12), Huntington Beach Volleyball Club (2012-15) and Vision Volleyball Club (2016). He helped lead the Arizona Premier 18s team to silver medals at the Boy's Junior Olympics in 2011 and 2012, and to a bronze medal in 2013. His Huntington Beach 16s squad won gold at the 2013 Boy's Junior Olympics. Additionally, he assisted the Huntington Beach 18s team to a silver medal in 2015 and a bronze medal in 2014.
Taylor graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in history and a minor in psychology in 2010. In the fall of 2014, he earned a master's in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine.
