Jessica Laurence enters her first season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Stanford men's water polo program in 2022.
Laurence joins the staff with experience serving as the head coach of the girl’s high school program at Monte Vista High School since 2018 and over 10 years of club experience with local clubs like 680 Drivers and now Diablo Alliance.
In addition to club and high school, Laurence has held numerous positions within USA Water Polo and coached a variety of talented teams throughout the Olympic Development Program. During this time, she was awarded the Top Coach Award in 2017. She has served as the Pac Zone head coach from 2018 to 2022 and the Development National Team manager/assistant coach from 2017 to 2021, and now moves to a new role serving as the USA Women’s Development National Team assistant coach.
Originally from the East Bay, Laurence played at Monte Vista High school and then went on to play at Cal State Monterey Bay. After graduating in 2015, receiving a degree in Liberal Arts, she returned home to earn her credential and masters at Saint Mary’s College. She currently teaches English and oversees the AVID program at Monte Vista High School.
