Nate Ngo joined the Stanford staff as its technical coordinator in 2020. He will continue to serve as the technical coordinator for the U.S. Men's National Team in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

"Nate's knowledge of the game and the way he analyzes the game is great and will add to our program, especially our preparation for matches. More importantly, Nate is a great person and will fit our culture perfectly," said head coach Kevin Hambly.

Ngo has been a member of the U.S. Men's National Team staff since 2015. During his tenure with Team USA, he has helped it capture its first World Cup since 1985 and earn a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics. More recently, he was a part of the 2018 team that won a bronze medal at the World Championships, the first medal in the tournament in 24 years for the United States.

At the collegiate level, Ngo was most recently the volunteer assistant coach for the UCLA men's volleyball team and has been on the coaching staffs at Denver (2017), Irvine Valley College (2015-17), and Portland (2014). While earning a master's degree in statistics, he was a graduate manager at Nebraska (2011-13). As an undergraduate at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Ngo was a student manager for the 2006 Mustang team that advanced to the Sweet 16.

A 2010 graduate of Cal Poly, Ngo is a native of San Francisco and attended Sacred Heart Cathedral High School, where he played volleyball.
