Women's Gymnastics Takes Sixth Place At Pac-10 Championships

Tempe, Ariz. - The Stanford women's gymnastic team finished sixth at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships with a team score of 193.850.

Individually, senior Larissa Fontaine was Stanford's top finisher in the vault with a score of 9.9, good for a tie for fifth place. She also tied for sixth place on the uneven bars with a score of 9.9, finished 12th in the all-around competition with a score of 38.925. On the floor exercise, Fontaine tied for ninth place with teammate senior Sarah Harding with a score of 9.875. Harding tied for 13th on the bars with a score of 9.825 with teammate freshman Abby Gair, who also finished 14th in the all-around with a score of 38.825. Senior Jen Exaltacion finished 17th in the all-around with a score of 38.450, and sophomore Katy Herbert finished 18th with a score of 38.200.

UCLA took first place with a score of 197.700, and Oregon State placed second with a score of 196.575.

Stanford will go on to compete in the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, April 1st.
