UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. - The Stanford women's gymnastic team fellto Penn State 196.1-194.7 in the Cardinal's last meet of the regularseason. The Cardinal ends the regular season with a record of 8-3.
Senior Larissa Fontaine shared the event title on the bars with ascore of 9.9, and took top honors in the all-around with a total score of39.475. She also tied for third on the vault with a score of 9.9. SophomoreKaty Herbert shared the event title on the beam with a score of 9.925 andfinished third in the all-around with a score of 38.95. Junior JenExaltacion finished second in the all around with a score of 39.35, tookthird on the vault with a 9.9 and third on the beam with a 9.9. She alsotied for third in the floor exercise with a score of 9.825.
The meet with the Nittany Lions was the Cardinal's last meet of theregular season. The team will take a week off before traveling to ArizonaState to compete in the Pac-10 Championships on March 18.
