Stanford is now 2-0 all-time against Duke. The other win came Nov. 11, 1999 in the opening round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, an 80-79 overtime victory. The old record of 19,657 was set in the 1998 Pete Newell Classic when Stanford faced Temple and California squared off with North Carolina. Stanford trailed 72-57 before finishing the game with a 27-11 run over the final 6:41. The Cardinal scored on each of its final 14 possessions. Stanford led for only 43.6 seconds the entire night and had not led since Duke took the lead 2:12 into the game.
